Welcome to the Moxee Service! Follow
Congratulations on signing up for the Moxee Service! There are a few important things we wanted to cover with you so you can get the most out of your device.
Adding the professional monitoring service to your contacts
First, add the professional monitoring service’s telephone number to your mobile phone’s contacts.
If there’s an emergency and the professional monitoring service is contacted, they will attempt to call you on your phone. You can either click on this link or directly add the phone number: +1 (833) 209-2160 to your contacts.
This way, you’ll know when they are calling. This number is also important in the case of a false alarm, as you’ll need to use it to let the professional monitoring service know that you want them to cancel the police dispatch.
Using the Moxee Signal
1. Check-ins
A Check-in is a simple way to let one or more of your Contacts know where you are from your Moxee Signal. To perform a Check-in, press the alert button on the front of the Moxee Signal once. A single, quick press is all you need.
The Moxee Signal will vibrate once to let you know that the Check-in was sent. After a few moments, you will hear an audible set of chimes, which indicates the Check-in was received by your designated Contacts.
Note: It may take 15 to 60 seconds for your device to get a GPS lock and send a Check-in notification to your contacts.
2. Yellow Alerts
A Yellow Alert should be used when you may need help, but don’t feel it's an emergency.
To start a Yellow Alert, press the alert button of the Moxee Signal twice quickly.
The Moxee Signal will vibrate to confirm that the Yellow Alert was sent. After a few moments, you will notice additional vibrations, which indicate the alert was received by your designated Contacts. The Alert LED (the exclamation point on the front of the Moxee Signal) will glow yellow whenever a Yellow Alert is open. During a yellow alert, audio of your environment will also be shared with your contacts.
Note: It may take 15 to 60 seconds for your device to get a GPS lock and send a Yellow Alert notification to your contacts.

3. Red Alerts
A Red Alert should be used when you need immediate help from emergency personnel. Your designated Contacts, the Account Owner, and professional monitoring service are all notified and can engage and respond when you initiate a Red Alert.
To start a Red Alert, press the button on the front of the Moxee Signal three times in quick succession.
The Moxee Signal will vibrate to confirm that the Red Alert was sent. After a few moments, you will notice additional vibrations, which indicate the alert was received by your designated Contacts. The Alert LED (the exclamation point on the front of the Moxee Signal) will glow red whenever a Red Alert is in progress.
Note: It may take 15 to 60 seconds for your device to get a GPS lock and send a Red Alert notification to your contacts.
Accidental Red Alerts
If you ever trigger a Red Alert accidentally, you can cancel the alert either from the Moxee App or from the Moxee Signal*.
*Account Owners may have access to both the Moxee App and the Moxee Signal, but Device Users who are not Account Owners will only be able to close their Alerts from the Moxee Signal.
From the Moxee App
- Open the Moxee App.
- Open the Alert by tapping View on the alert message, if one has appeared, or by tapping on the menu button in the top left corner of the screen, tapping Alerts & Check-ins, then tapping on the open Alert you want to close.
- Now in the map view, tap the Close Alert button in the bottom right corner of the screen and enter the 4-digit Alert PIN that was selected during account set up.
- The Device User will feel a long vibration, audio and location recording will stop, and the Alert LED will turn off.
From the Moxee Signal
- Press once then press and hold the alert button until you feel a long vibration.
- Audio and location recording will stop and the Alert LED will turn off.
Note: If emergency personnel have already been dispatched, it’s important that you call the professional monitoring service at +1 (833) 209-2160 immediately to cancel the dispatch. Closing the Red Alert after police have been dispatched will not cancel the dispatch.
