How to reset account passwords or Alert PINs Follow
If an Account Owner has lost or forgotten their app password or Alert PIN, they can follow these steps to select a new password or PIN:
Forgot Password:
Passwords are used to log into the partner app on the Account Owner's smartphone.
- Open the partner app.
- When prompted to log in, tap Forgot Password.
- Follow prompts on the screen to enter the Account Owner’s phone number used for this account.
- A text message will be sent to the Account Owner's phone.
- Follow the instructions in the text message to complete the password reset.
- Log in to the partner app using the new password.
Forgot PIN:
PINs are used to close alerts.
- If you do not have an open Yellow or Red Alert, then open the partner app
- Tap on the menu button in the top left
- Tap on My App Info or Account Info
- Tap on Change Alert PIN
- An email will automatically be sent to the Account Owner's email with reset instructions.
- If you have an open Yellow or Red Alert, open the partner app
- Open the Alert map view and begin to close the Alert
- When prompted to enter a PIN to close the Alert, tap Forgot PIN at the bottom of the screen
- An email will automatically be sent to the Account Owner's email with reset instructions.
- After following the instructions in the email, use the reset PIN to close the Alert.
For your security, the service and app will never reveal or share your current password or Alert PIN. No support or monitoring agent can view or recover your password or PIN.
